Overview
Vortex Pocket Puzzle
The swirling Vortex is one of the most difficult Hanayama Cast puzzles ever created. Three nearly identical metal spirals are tightly coiled up in a complex array. To unbind them, you’ll need to navigate the two protrusions on each piece that prevent the whole thing from coming apart. It’s really, really hard to do. However, like all great puzzles your struggle will be rewarded with an ingenious and beautiful solution. Even better is the satisfying click that happens when you snap the three pieces back into place to form their intricate little bundle.
Designer Akio Yamamoto says the concept was inspired by images from Hindu mythology that depict superhuman demigods with three faces and six arms. If you’re able to disassemble this pocket puzzle and put it back together again, you may achieve demigod status yourself...
