What Artists Do

A candid companion for anyone who makes things.

What Artists Do by Leonard Koren is a thoughtful meditation on the creative life—not the polished outcomes, but the messy, uncertain, deeply human act of making. With characteristic wit and clarity, Koren explores the habits, contradictions, and quiet obsessions that define artists, offering insights that resonate far beyond the studio. A small book with surprisingly expansive ideas.
